Concept

Simply install the Demo Reset free plugin or Demo Reset Pro plugin on your WordPress website and create a Reset Point to put the site in the Frozen State (Demo Mode). This allows you to let your customers to interact with the website without any risk of permanent changes. With each automatic or manual reset, all customer changes will be removed, restoring the website to its original state. In short; Now your website is ready for Demo purposes.

  1. Admin who activate the Demo Reset Pro plugin (Demo Reset Admin) holds the highest privileges.
  2. Changes made by admins or other users will remain on the website.
  3. THAWED State Website Isolation can be activated or deactivated via settings.
  4. Permalink and Site Settings are restricted for all users except Demo Reset Admin.
  5. All the auto-updates are suspended.
  6. Only the Demo Reset Admin can install WP Core, Plugin & Theme updates.
  7. Only the Demo Reset Admin can install or delete Plugins & Themes.
  8. Admins and users can upload new images or files.
  9. Admins and users can delete/trash existing uploaded images or files.
  10. Only the Demo Reset Admin can access the Demo Reset Admin Menu.
  11. Only the Demo Reset Admin can access the Help Articles Admin Menu.

  6. Installation, activation, deactivation or deletion of Plugins & Themes are suspended.
  7. New images or files uploading can be allowed or suspended via settings.
  8. Deletion of already existing uploaded images or files can be allowed or suspended via settings.
  9. Whether logged-in users remain logged in or are forced to log out during the reset can be configured via settings.
  10. Only the Demo Reset Admin can access the Demo Reset Admin Menu.
  11. All users including Demo Reset Admin are restricted from accessing the Help Articles Admin Menu.
  12. Only the Demo Reset Admin can change Demo Reset settings and Promo Bar settings.
  13. The Demo Reset Admin can add more Reset Points when File Upload is not allowed in settings.
  14. The Demo Reset Admin must delete all Reset Points to get back to the THAWED state.
